Take your local upscale coffee bar and mix it with a quaint village patisserie. Blend that with a traditional Asian teahouse, and give it all the flair and feel of downtown Detroit, and you have arrived at the Kawaiian Café!

Open every weekday at 6:00 a.m. for downtown workers, the Kawaiian Café serves coffees specifically selected from estates in Sumatra, Papua New Guinea, and India, freshly roasted and blended by a small, local artisan roaster. Guests will be able to choose from a seemingly endless variety of styles and flavorings, each made with professional pride and care by the Café’s highly-trained barristas, using the finest Italian and Swiss equipment.

An assortment of muffins, breads and other delectable pastries are baked in-house every day to complement to your morning beverage, and get your day off to a good start.

The Kawaiian Café also prepares bubble teas made from fresh fruit, freshly-squeezed juices and pure fruit purees. A number of other Asian soft drinks and bottled beverages will be available to compliment the fountain service offered by the Asian Marketplace.

The café is open from 6:00 to 5:00 weekdays.
